Jeremiah 6:6-8

⁶ For this is what the Lord of armies says:
“^(A)Cut down her trees
And pile up an ^(B)assault ramp against Jerusalem.
This is the city to be punished,
In whose midst there is only ^(C)oppression.
^7 (D)As a well ^[a]keeps its waters fresh,
So she ^[b]keeps fresh her wickedness.
^(E)Violence and destruction are heard in her;
^(F)Sickness and wounds are constantly before Me.
^8 (G)Be warned, Jerusalem,
Or ^[c](H)I shall be alienated from you,
And make you a desolation,
An uninhabited land.”
